Eligibility criteria

1) Age Criteria:-

Minimum and maximum age for admission is 17 to 35 years

2) Educational Requirements:-

a) A candidate should have passed in the subject of PCB and English. Individually an must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualified examination that is (10+2) furthermore ,the candidates belonging to SC/ST or other backward classes The marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 45% as started above. English is compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission. Candidate should be a passed out from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent board.

b) Appeared and qualified in entrance examination

c) Student shall be medically fit

d) Student shall be admitted once in a year.

3) On completion of program the graduates will be able to :-

a) Apply knowledge from physical, biological and behavioral sciences, medicine, including alternative systems and nursing in providing nursing care to individuals ,families and communities.

b) Provide nursing care based on steps of nursing process in collaboration with the individuals and groups.

c) Demonstrates critical thinking skill in making decisions in all situations in order to provide quality care.

d) Provide promotive, preventive, and restorative health services in line with the National Health Policies and programs.

e) Practice Within the framework of code of ethics and professional conduct and acceptable standards of practice within the legal boundaries.

f) Demonstrates skills in teaching to individuals and groups in clinical /community health setting.

g) Demonstrates leadership and managerial skills in clinical /community health settings.

h) Conduct need based research studies in various settings and utilize the research findings to improve the quality of care.

i) Demonstrate awareness, interest and contribute towards advancement of self and of the profession.
